And who’s bin hangin on my luxury yacht?
Sooty, tired of the rough and tumble of life on a race boat, snuck abourd the mothership for this regatta – the wonderful motor yacht “Watercolours”. Sooty liked the chef cooking breakfast – lovely way to start the day. The bowls of chocolates everywhere were also a big hit, but it was the lovely crew and hosts that made Sooty’s day, and the jacquizi. And the jetski and the bar. And the lounge. And…… Sooty was rescued from this lifestyle by the entire Big Bear team and is now hapilly back in a somewhat fetid cabin shared by eleventeen hairy arsed crew (and lettie who doesn’t have a hairy arse at all – thought it was wise to mention that). Racing today was 2 windward leewards followed by a long course to the frenchie bit of l”island. The w/l was several hours of hauking up the massive yellow kite and then hauling it down – somehow gravity was not playing today. Heaps of worn out crew littered the foredeck as the afterguard casually inquired if we’d be s good as to get the bloody thing back up again. The long distance race had a downwindish start with jamie helping us to start at the pin on port and shutting out two 100ft boats. After two hours arrive’d in france and are now alongside mothership where chef is preparing dinner. Will inspect their bilges tonight – suspect maybe nicer than ours. Results so far 11-9-7-7 I very pleased Sooty. Back to the bilge… Pete Ramsdale pete@sadiiqi.com +1 (441) 504-PETE (7383)
